2007 Season - Week 23

A week is a long time with the BUMS

Attached is the favourite chart of the year giving a graphical view of your position in the league table each week. What we can clearly see is that Andy H dominated the Premiership but let’s give a shout out to Ron who was tied with him after the first week. At the bottom it looked like Marcus had climbed to safety after week 13 but a disastrous final week saw him go down, with John who had a rough December and Aaron who never escaped the bottom 2 all season long. 3 people led the Conference, Daz very briefly before AP and Mark H alternated with Mark taking it on the last week of the season. How high did you fly- how low did you go? All-Time Leading Points Scorer Johnny’s remains the all-time leading regular season points scorer title with Mark B moves into second passing Chief and despite his massive season Andy H remains fourth. Chief maintains his lead as highest post-season scorer & the Official All-Time Leading Points scorer but Wayne passed him as the highest annual average scorer with Johnny third, Mark B fourth and Mark H fifth after his first season. Andy H moves up 2 spots to seventh after his great year. See the attached – I wouldn’t lie to you. Franchise Players 2007-2008 As with last year I shall be asking for your Franchise players for the next two years early in June as any key Free Agency moves plus big draft signings will have an impact on your decisions. Free Agency begins in 2 weeks and old BUMS have already been cut including former Franchise man Byron Leftwich as well as Trent Green, Marty Booker, Muhsin Muhammad and Alge Crumpler. In the draft CBS Sports suggests in the first round we should look out for Running Backs Darren McFadden & Felix Jones (both Arkansas), Jonathan Stewart (Oregon), Jamal Charles (Texas) and Rashard Mendenhall (Illinois). Also Receivers DeSean Jackson (California), James Hardy (Indiana), Malcolm Kelly (Oklahoma), Mario Manningham (Michigan), Early Doucet (LSU) and TE Fred Davis (USC). 3 QBs could go in the first round as well:- Matt Ryan (Boston College), Brian Brohm (Louisville) and Chad Henne (Michigan). BUMS on Seats The NFL Draft is on the evening of Saturday April 26th and Sunday 27th. Hopefully it will be back live on TV again and we can get together to see the first round develop.
